Honduras

Roatán is where most cruise ships will dock when you are scheduled to visit Honduras.  There are terrific day trips and excursions to enjoy whether you want to swim with the dolphins and stingrays, zip lining, deep sea fishing, become one with nature or relax on the white sands with waves crashing all around you.

Roatán is an island in the Caribbean, about 65km off the northern coast of Honduras. It is located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, and is the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras.

When you're in port ...

According to Carnival Cruise Lines, here are the Top 10 things to do while in port:

There is a small beach area that is right at the port, and you'll see that is offered as an excursion.  We did the dolphin excursion and it was a good experience.  There is a beach right off the cruise port called Mahogany Beach -- it gets really crowded, so if you're looking for a less-crowded experience you may want to check out one of the excursions offered by the cruise (Big French Key) or go out on your own (check out West Bay Beach).
