Mackinac Island, Michigan

Mackinac Island is a national landmark and one of those vacation spots that I truly believe is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that everyone should have the privilege of experiencing.
Mackinac Island is special and unique. No cars. No chain hotels. What you will experience is a great culinary experience, extraordinary nightlife, unique shopping meshed with the touristy stuff that you should expect, and of course there's the world-famous Mackinac Island Fudge. Plan on bringing some home with you! And if you like ice cream, even a little bit, you have to try the Mackinac Fudge Ice Cream!
There is no shortage of site seeing opportunities including historic Fort Mackinac, the Butterfly House, and more nature than you can imagine. Enjoy the most beautiful sunsets, not to mention breathtaking sunrises.
We typically stay in a Bed and Breakfast while on the island, but we have also had the opportunity to stay at Mission Point Resort. I have been given the opportunity to visit the island in a few weeks and stay at Mission Point, so stay tuned for more information about this great resort. Visiting the island during the winter will be an entirely new experience!
Mackinac Island is ranked as a Top 10 U.S. Island by TripAdvisor and USA Today.
